Founder & CEO, Shades of Excellence Mentorship

Stanisha York is a dedicated advocate for empowering ALL girls, but especially the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) population, to reach their full potential and excel in every aspect of their lives. As a visionary leader, she is the Founder and CEO of both Shades of Excellence Mentorship and Black Unicorn Mentorship Program.

With a deep-rooted commitment to education and mentorship, Stanisha has established herself as a prominent figure in the realm of youth empowerment and academic support. Her journey began with a powerful desire to address the unique challenges faced by African American girls in their academic pursuits and personal growth. This drive led her to found Black Unicorn Mentorship, a organization committed to uplifting and guiding young minds.

Building on the success and insights gained from Black Unicorn Mentorship, Stanisha launched Shades of Excellence Mentorship, a school-based program aimed at providing tailored support and mentorship to ALL girls aged 11-17. Under her guidance, these programs have become a source of inspiration and empowerment for countless young individuals.
